The Prince's Trust
The Prince's Trust helps 11 to 30-year-olds who are in vulnerable situations, supporting them through care, unemployment and financial hardship. The charity’s aim is to assist those facing the greatest adversity onto a pathway to employment, while strengthening their network of opportunity and support and giving them the best chance of future success.
Women Supporting Women is just one of The Prince’s Trust initiatives committed to changing the lives of the young women who The Trust works with.
Some challenges are felt more acutely by women such as lack of financial independence, low self-confidence and poor mental health. Therefore, in 2018, The Prince’s Trust created the initiative Women Supporting Women to raise the profile of gender equality. By investing in work with young women, The Trust wants to ensure that everyone has an equal chance to fulfil their potential. It helps young women build their confidence to move into employment, further education or even start their own business.
The Prince’s Trust has returned £1.4 billion in value to society through its help for disadvantaged young people over the past 10 years alone.
