Oval engagement rings have all the 58 facets of a round brilliant diamond. This diamond shape marks a happy-medium between a round cut and the elongated marquise, with a larger appearance at the same carat weight.
There are also several styles you can consider to accentuate your centre stone.
The solitaire engagement ring is a timeless design which puts the diamond at centre stage. With a rose gold band, it will draw the eyes of everyone to the high-quality stone mounted upon it.
Trilogy or ‘three stone’ diamond engagement rings are perfect for those wishing to have something more memorable than a traditional solitaire or ‘one stone’ setting. These stones represent the past, present and the future of your relationship.
Just as a halo marks reverence for religious figures, the surrounding stones elevate the fire and brilliance of your central diamond. You can also consider other gemstones such as sapphire and ruby for your halo engagement ring.
Pure gold is far too soft and impractical for use with engagement rings, so that’s why alloys are used for metal ring bands. The yellow gold mixed with copper, and sometimes silver, results in a unique pinkish hue with an orange tinge, reminiscent of a sunset.
Sunsets are the epitome of romance, so what better way to reflect those passionate evenings with your partner?
We get it, you’ve never done this before. It isn’t easy to decide on something to commemorate one of the biggest moments of your life.
That’s why we’re with you from the first consultation to the final result.
“The ring is beautifully personal with perfect, flawless stones, it is truly one of kind!”

Rose gold engagement rings, and their combination of yellow gold, copper and silver do not fade over time. In fact, the copper they contain causes them to darken over time. This may please a wearer who is seeking a more vintage look.
Rose gold is prized for its durability and resistance to scratching. It contains more copper than yellow gold so it is actually less likely to scratch than its more traditional counterpart. Alongside regular maintenance, jewellers can restore rose gold bands that are scratched. Some people may not be worried with this natural wear and tear, so it’s up to you as to whether you get it re-polished.
Yellow gold and rose gold are both popular choices for engagement rings. Which one looks better is a matter of preference. Yellow gold represents a timeless colour with the warmth that contrasts a colourless diamond or pairs with diamonds from K to Z on the colour scale. Rose gold is also a versatile choice, with the pink and orange shades complimenting all manner of diamonds. Talk to us for guidance on which metal band might work for you and your skin tone.

What colour is a diamond? Many say they’re colourless, however, look closely and most contain subtle tints of yellows, soft pinks and rich browns. Truly colourless diamonds are known as white diamonds and are extremely rare and the most valuable. Diamond colour is graded from D to Z – D being the whitest, most colourless diamond and Z containing noticeable yellow, brown or pink tints. The letters D to Z represent a range of colour based on a combination of tone, lightness or darkness and saturation.
Cut
Diamond cut refers to the arrangement of a diamond’s facets. A diamond’s cut is often mistaken as meaning its shape (oval, pear, etc), but a diamond’s cut grade is actually about how well the facets interact with light.
Polish
Polish refers to the overall smoothness and condition of the diamond’s surface. It’s rare for a diamond to have a perfect polish. More often, they have tiny imperfections not visible to the naked eye.
Symmetry
Symmetry refers to how well-aligned the diamond's facets are. Symmetry, on the other hand, refers to the exactness of shape, overall outline, placement and alignment of individual facets.
The gradings provided by the GIA go from poor to excellent. If you select an SI clarity, we will provide Very Good cut, polish and symmetry. If you select a VS1 clarity, we will provide Excellent cut, polish and symmetry.
